What is Concurrent Enrollment?
Concurrent education is when a high school student is enrolled in a college course for both high school and college-level credit. The course may be
- taught on a high school campus,
- taught on the college campus, or
- taught by distance/digital technology.
Who is Eligible for Concurrent Enrollment?
- High school students who have completed the 8th grade,
- Enrolled in an Arkansas high school or home schooled,
- Recommended by his/her high school principal, superintendent, or counselor, and
- the combined college courses and high school enrollment does not exceed a normal academic load.
