Visit Australia and New Zealand in May 2019

BRTC is excited to offer community members, BRTC employees and students, and other interested parties a trip to Australia and New Zealand in mid- to late May 2019.  Karen Liebhaber, Vice President for Institutional Advancement, will be leading the trip.

The trip will begin in Rotorua, New Zealand, known for its geothermal activity and the Maori, New Zealand’s indigenous Polynesian people.  A day will be spent in Auckland, New Zealand, the largest city in New Zealand and known for its Polynesian culture and fine food, shopping, and wine.  Three days will be spent in Sydney, and two days will be spent in Cairns.  At Cairns, travelers will take a catamaran to the Great Barrier Reef with the opportunity to snorkel with a marine biologist.  They will also be able to join a second day excursion of Atherton Tablelands, a tropical rainforest, and visit the Tjapukai Aboriginal Park.

Individuals of all ages are invited to join the trip.  Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.  Travelers do not have to be affiliated with or be students of BRTC.  All community members are welcome.
