Message from President Eggensperger About the Coronavirus

\"\"March 12, 2020

Dear BRTC Community,

Over the past several days, the vice presidents, other faculty and staff leaders, and I have been communicating with our peers across the state to develop an appropriate response to the coronavirus pandemic.

This morning, a cross-departmental team from across both Pocahontas and Paragould locations met to discuss the coronavirus and its impact on BRTC employees, students, and community.  I want to assure you that we are carefully monitoring the situation and have the BRTC mission as a priority second only to your health.

Currently, our team is focused on the following 4 goals:

  1. Ensuring the health and safety of BRTC and our communities,
  2. Providing a continuity of services,
  3. Providing support to address the health needs of surrounding communities, and
  4. Communicating consistent and unified information to stakeholders.

BRTC has set up a Campus Health page where the most up-to-date information will be posted.  That link is http://blackrivertech.org/brtcstudents/campus-health

We ask that you continue to watch for BRTC updates, be mindful of others, maintain your personal health, and use good judgment.

Thank you,

Martin Eggensperger, PhD
Black River Technical College, President
