BRTC VP of Student Affairs honored at ARSAA Conference

Black River Technical College (BRTC) Vice President of Student Affairs was recently honored at the Arkansas Student Affairs Association (ARSAA) conference for serving as president over the last year.

“Serving as President has truly been one of the most rewarding experiences in my career,” said Smith. “I am thankful to the membership and board for the opportunity.”

According to goarsaa.com, ARSAA supports and fosters college student learning through disseminating knowledge amongst student affairs professionals and the higher education community at a statewide level.

The purpose of ARSAA shall be to provide for the cooperative association of those persons engaged in college student personnel service and its administration; for the promotion of state conferences to discuss the problems, progress, and possibilities of personnel services; for the formulation and maintenance of professional standards among workers; for the dissemination of the student personnel point of view among all educational workers; and to provide programs, services, opportunities, leadership, and guidance to institutions of higher education within the state of Arkansas in developing programs which address statewide needs.
