Health information individuals may work in medical clinics where they also have to perform office duties such as keyboarding and editing correspondence, scheduling appointments, answering the telephone, filing medical records, handling the mail, greeting patients, assisting the billing department, etc. They must be proficient with computers and various computer software applications.
Moreover, it is essential that health information individuals possess good communication skills as they will become the liaison person between the medical clinic and the insurance companies and other medically-related businesses and establishments.
