Welding Instructor

 

Black River Technical College is seeking qualified applicants for the following faculty position for Spring 2025.

The person filling this position will be responsible for course and laboratory instruction in the welding department at Black River Technical College as well as academic advisement and committee activities.  BRTC is currently in the process of expanding the welding program to include robotic/cobot welding training.

·          Six hours of sick leave monthly after fulfilling all work hours in a pay period

·         Eight hours per calendar year of education leave

·         14% minimum retirement contribution from BRTC each pay period

·         Tuition Waiver for Employee and dependents to BRTC

Qualifications:

This person must have as a minimum an Associate degree; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred. The candidate should possess welding certifications from the American Welding Society (AWS); inspector certification preferred.  Additional certification from the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) in welding is also desirable.  Teaching experience preferred.  Knowledge of robotic / cobot welding preferred.  Applicants must be willing to continue their education through technical training and professional certifications.
