POCAHONTAS, AR July 9, 2020 – The Merle R. Young Scholarship has been awarded to Katelyn Adams, of Russellville for the summer of 2020. This Scholarship is a memorial for the late Merle R. Young and awards $500 to a Black River Technical College Registered Nursing student.

Adams is the daughter of Charles Eakin and Susan Bewley. She has two sons Kendrick and Andre Adams. She working towards an Associate of Applied Science degree in Registered Nursing.
