Student Organizations & Activities

BRTC offers the following organizations in which students may be involved.

Student Government Association
Student Government Association (SGA) is an organization that advocates and works for the student body of Black River Technical College and acts as a liaison for students, to the administration and the faculty.

 

Student Legacy Projects

Under the direction of SGA, Student Legacy Projects utilize funds from the collection of the student activity fee and allocates them to a project that will enhance the BRTC student experience for many years to come.

Students work with college leadership for suggestions of project then the student body votes on which project they want funded.  All projects are designed to address student suggestions, feedback, and interests.

Spring 2024

  • Resolution 02:  Provide shade covering for the enhanced outdoor seating area on the Paragould Campus.
  • Resolution 01:  Create an outdoor seating area on the Paragould Campus

Spring 2023 Resolution 01
Create a state-of-the-art fitness center on the Pocahontas campus.

Spring 2022 Resolution 01
Establish a BRTC black hawk sculpture for the Pocahontas campus.

Spring 2021 Resolution 01
Establish BRTC coffee shops at both locations.

  • Design, creation, marketing, and unveiling of the BRTC mascot
  • Stipend for Official BRTC Mascot Ambassador
  • Yearly costume maintenance budget
Copeland and Student Visit Arkansas Bioscience Institute
