Single Mothers\’ Job and Career Readiness Workshop

The BRTC Corporate & Community Education Department, along with the Wal-Mart Foundation, is teaming up with the Arkansas Single Parent Scholarship Foundation to offer a Single Mothers’ Job and Career Readiness Workshop, presented by Jan McCormick, Ed.D., a Job Readiness Professional.  Registration for this free seminar will include lunch, a $50 Wal-Mart gift card, a Job Portfolio, and the information to help you prepare to compete for the job you really want.  Dr. Jan is one of America’s top career communication and personal presentation coaches.  She is recognized nationally and statewide for work with veterans, students, and at-risk populations.  This workshop, tailored towards single mothers wanting to improve their lives through education, provides the pivotal information employers wish you knew.

The Single Mothers’ Job and Career Readiness Workshop will be held at Black River Technical College, Pocahontas campus, on Friday, October 2, from 8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.  Register at the Continuing Education Building, located on the BRTC Pocahontas Campus, College Drive, Monday through Thursday, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.  Registration deadline for this workshop is Tuesday, September 29.
