The Registered Nursing faculty member shall be a Registered Nurse who is knowledgeable of the principles and practices in all fields of nursing practice. The specific job duties and responsibilities of this position are varied and representative of providing didactic and clinical instruction and assessment of nursing curriculum for the Associate of Applied Science LPN-to-RN Transition program. This individual works under the direct supervision of the Paragould Nursing Site Coordinator, Director of Nursing, Dean of Nursing & Allied Health and Vice President for Academics. This is a full-time, 12-month contract.
In addition to course and clinical development and instruction, job duties include the following: academic advisement, student recruitment and retention activities, course and program assessment, maintaining and completing course records and reports for approval and accrediting bodies, participation in various committee activities. The position requires travel to various clinical sites and occasional travel to BRTC Pocahontas campus. Rotating weekend clinical hours are expected.

Qualifications:
Applicants must hold a valid, unencumbered registered nursing license in Arkansas or other compact state, with at least two years of experience in clinical nursing. Applicants must hold a minimum of a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Previous educational experience in higher education preferred. Must possess current CPR certification; knowledge and skills related to teaching adults, teaching methodology, curriculum development, and evaluation. The faculty member must be willing to continue their education through on-going professional development.
