Recreational Welding

Are you a do-it-yourselfer wanting to pick up a new skill?  Looking for an affordable way to learn how to weld for personal applications?  Here is your chance!  The Corporate & Community Education Department of Black River Technical College is offering Recreational Welding.  This course will be taught by BRTC welding instructor, Rikki Gunn.  Participants who attend this training will be taught how to adjust welding machines according to the thickness of metals, develop the skill to weld thin metals, and learn about welding safety and precautions.  Students will also complete a yard decoration project by creating a bird feeder, yard ornament, or flower pot.  Recreational Welding will be held on Mondays, February 15 – April 11, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m.  Due to Spring break, class will not be held on March 21.  Register at the Continuing Education Building, located on the BRTC Pocahontas Campus, College Drive, Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.  Deadline to register is Thursday, February 11.
