Record Enrollment in BRTC’s Career and Technical Center

POCAHONTAS, AR Sept. 17— Black River Technical College’s Career & Technical Center has started the Fall 2021 semester off with a record enrollment of 96 high school juniors and seniors from 12 area schools.

High School students from Pocahontas, Walnut Ridge, Corning, Arkansas Virtual Academy, Maynard, Sloan Hendrix, Hillcrest, Marmaduke, Greene County Tech, Paragould, Rector, and Brookland are pursuing certificates in Nursing Assistant, Industrial Electricity, Welding, and Auto Collision Repair.

BRTC also has 219 high school students, 9th grade and above, enrolled in concurrent credit courses. Concurrent credit courses are offered on 11 high school campuses and online.
