Proventus/BRTC Foundation 30th Annual Golfing FORE Scholarships Tournament Raises Over $53,000

The 30th Annual Proventus/BRTC Foundation Golf Tournament, held Friday, September 29 at Rolling Hills Country Club in Pocahontas, was a great success, raising record proceed of over $53,000. Proceeds from the event are used by the BRTC Foundation to fund student scholarships.

Winners of the morning Championship Flight were 1st, Kirk Scobey and Kelly Scobey; 2nd, Trent Smith and Jacob Hestor; and 3rd, Matt Sullivan and James Sullivan. Winners of the morning A Flight were 1st, Scott Bransom and Terry Verkler III; 2nd, Brandon Meadows and Jack McCord; and 3rd, Jack Deloach and Clint Deloach. Winners of the B Flight were 1st, Jacob Kersey and Darenda Kersey; 2nd, Garett Guthrie and Bryan Doss; and 3rd, Michael Stern and Tina Disano.  Closest-to-the-pin winners were Kirk Scobey on Hole 2, Bill Bailey on Hole 3, Kelly Scobey on Hole 7, Fred Cole on Hole 12, and Trent Smith on Hole 15.

Winners of the afternoon Championship Flight were 1st, Michael Dickson and Bobby Sorg (photo at very top); 2nd, Darby Bennett and Blake Prater; and 3rd, Matt Hibbs and Marcus Major. Winners of the afternoon A Flight were 1st, Chris Hoggard and Stephen Malone; 2nd, N. Ray Campbell and Pink Baltz; and 3rd, Heath Futrell and Jason Lockheart. Winners of the afternoon B Flight were 1st, Andrew Coker and Ethan Leslie; 2nd, Brian Niswonger and Jade Wells; and 3rd, Jerry Lindsey and Derek Bramlett.  Closest-to-the-pin winners were Bobby Sorg on Hole 2, Tony Parten on Hole 3, Bobby Sorg on Hole 7, Dickie Mount on Hole 12, and Michael Dickson on Hole 15.

The headline sponsor was Proventus and the Harps Food Tent was sponsored by Harps Foods, Inc. The tournament also had 35 4-star sponsors, 12 3-star sponsors, 24 2-star sponsors, 7 1-star sponsors.
