Black River Technical College is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Marketing Specialist for the Office of Institutional Advancement (IA). This is a full-time, non-classified, 12-month position.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Marketing Specialist reports to the Vice President of Institutional Advancement and is responsible for the planning, development, and implementation of a wide variety of promotional and marketing initiatives for BRTC and the BRTC Foundation. Duties include leading the management of all promotional print and digital campaigns and content for BRTC and the BRTC Foundation; co-coordinating all photography and video creation and editing as well as organization, storage, maintenance, and access with the Communications Specialist; leading the selection of, design, ordering, and dissemination of promotional items for the College and Foundation; creating and maintaining a marketing plan as well as preforming market research; and assisting other IA members with IA activities such as communications and development, as necessary.

SKILLS
Excellent written and oral communication, photography, and technology skills are required. Must be customer service-oriented, well-organized, and detail-oriented. Must be able to maintain confidentiality and meet strict deadlines. Must be able to function well in a team environment, be self-motivated, and possess critical thinking skills.
QUALIFICATIONS
The formal educational equivalent of a baccalaureate degree in marketing, digital media, or a related field is or a baccalaureate degree with 5 years advertising, social media, marketing, and promotion experience is required. A master’s degree in marketing, digital media, or a related field is preferred.
