Black River Technical College is seeking an enthusiastic, highly motivated person to serve as Library Director. The Library Director works under the supervision of the Vice President for Academics. This is a full time, 12-month position on the Pocahontas campus.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The primary responsibility of the Library Director is to provide efficient access to information to all patrons by effectively managing all library operations, including library resources, library personnel, and the library physical facility. The library director must demonstrate effective management skills in all library service areas with the ability to plan, organize, supervise, and maintain a high standard of service for all library functions. The Library Director will direct and evaluate the support staff as well as student workers, serve on library and college committees, and participate in activities that enhance professional knowledge.

Qualifications:
The preferred minimal professional degree is a Master's degree in Library or Information Science, demonstrated experience with library technology, and working knowledge of new and emerging technologies in library services. Applicant should have excellent oral, written and organizational skills.
