POCAHONTAS, AR Feb. 11— Black River Technical College’s Vice President of Student Affairs, Jason Smith, J.D., was recently elected to the executive board of directors for the Arkansas Student Affairs Association (ArSAA) during this fall\’s annual Partners for Student Success conference.

The ArSAA provides programs, services, opportunities, leadership, and guidance to institutions of higher education within the State of Arkansas in developing programs that address state-wide needs. Smith states, \”I am honored to be elected to the ArSAA executive board. The work of the ArSAA is vital to the success of students enrolled in institutions of higher education in Arkansas. I look forward to serving alongside other student affairs professionals to help develop programs and best practices to help Arkansas students reach their educational goals.\”
