Harris and Copeland Selected for Paragould Leadership

Black River Technical College’s (BRTC) Travis Harris, math instructor, and Shane Copeland, director of student career readiness, have been selected as members of Leadership Paragould Class 28.

Harris and Copeland will attend 12 sessions over a 12-month period. During those 12 months they will be taught how to build and improve their leadership skills, how to collaborate in a team setting, and how to navigate different aspects of the community, like government and education.

Participants of the program leave knowing how to apply the learned leadership skills in a work setting and in their day-to-day lives. They also leave with multiple connections throughout the community. Having those connections will not only benefit them and their businesses, but will also benefit the community and its citizens.
