Fiscal Support Specialist -Accounts Payable

Black River Technical College is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Fiscal Support Specialist for the Office of Finance and Administration on the Pocahontas campus.  This is a full-time and 12-month position.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Fiscal Support Specialist works under general supervision of the Accountant and Business Office Manager and is responsible for performing the accounts payable functions for the college.  Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: reconcile, process, and maintain accounts payable records; set up and maintain vendor records; perform timely data entry of various information, including invoices and payments; communicate with vendors and others to provide information regarding the status of accounts or other related transactions; verify and process travel reimbursement requests; complete accounts payable month end and year end reporting; and other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

The formal education equivalent of an associate degree is preferred plus two years of experience of bookkeeping, accounts payable, or related experience. Other job-related education and/or experience may be substituted for all or part of these basic requirements upon approval of a review committee.
