Final \”Green\” Workshop: Post and Pass-Through Rail Fence

Register now for the Post and Pass-Through Rail Fence Workshop  offered by Black River Technical College at the historic William Looney Tavern (1833). This fourth and final workshop in a series of \”green\” construction training will be held Wednesday and Thursday, December 12-13.

Typical participants are those who have interest or who work in the field of woodworking, construction, traditional building trades, fence construction, log constructions. or historic storation and preservation.  Time permitting, participants will also have the opportunity to practice their skills on construction of a paling fence at the Rice-Upshaw site on Thursday.

The deadline to register is December 11.  All workshops and supplies are FREE, but because space is limited, REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED.

Registered participants should meet at the Rice-Upshaw House on Highway 93 at 9:30 a.m. on December 12 to be led to the William Looney Tavern site.  The workshop will then begin at 10:00 a.m.  On Thursday, December 13, participants will meet at 8:30 a.m. at the William Looney Tavern. Please wear appropriate clothing and footwear.

If after you register, you find that you will not be able to attend, please call 870-248-4180 so that we may allow someone else to take your place in the training.
