EMT-Paramedic Program Receives Grant

Black River Technical College’s EMT-Paramedic program received a grant from the Arkansas Trauma Foundation.

The grant is for professional development and for EMT-Paramedic students who have completed their first two semesters.  It helps students with their expenses the last two semesters and can be used on anything from tuition to books.  The student portion of the grant totaled $2,313.99.

The EMT-Paramedic program is five semester program that combines classroom and laboratory training, along with clinical rotations and a field internship to prepare graduates to sit for the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians-Paramedic exam and the Arkansas Paramedic Exam.  For more information about this program call (870)248-4000 ext. 6000.
