Electricity Instructor

Black River Technical College is seeking qualified applicants for the following faculty position for Fall 2025.

INDUSTRIAL ELECTRICITY/ELECTRONICS 

The person filling this position will be responsible for course and laboratory instruction in Industrial Electricity/Electronics department at Black River Technical College as well as academic advisement and committee activities.

QUALIFICATIONS: 

Education:

Minimum of an Associate’s Degree; a Bachelor of Science is preferred.

Work Experience:

  • Proven work experience in commercial electricity, with a strong understanding of electrical systems and circuitry.
  • Hands-on experience with installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical equipment and systems.
  • Familiarity with safety standards and regulations related to electrical work.
  • Experience with robotics and automation; understanding of robotic systems, programming, troubleshooting and maintenance of automated systems is a plus

Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in electrical and automation contexts.
  • Proficient in using electrical testing tools and diagnostic equipment.
  • Knowledge of robotics principles, including sensors, actuators, and control systems, is highly advantageous.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints and schematics.
  • Familiarity with PLC programming and automation software is a bonus.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for collaboration with teams and clients.
