Dr. Hal and Bootsie Barre’ Nursing Fund Established through the BRTC Foundation

POCAHONTAS, AR Nov. 29— A Dr. Hal and Bootsie Barre’ Nursing Fund has been established through the Black River Technical College Foundation.

Dr. Hal Barre’ was a longtime resident of and family practice physician in Pocahontas.  He was beloved by his patients, coworkers, family, and friends as a caring, professional, and fun-loving doctor.  Dr. Barre’ was very involved in the Pocahontas Rotary Club and was a strong community advocate.

Dr. Barre’ was married to his childhood sweetheart, Bootsie. Both natives of Memphis, they moved to Pocahontas immediately after medical school to open his practice.  In Pocahontas, they raised their four children, Michelle, Steve, Chris, and Joe.

Dr. Barre’ passed away on December 30, 2020.  This nursing faculty-directed fund is provided by his loving wife and family in his memory.
