Dr. Brad Baine Begins Position as BRTC’s Vice President of Academic Affairs

POCAHONTAS, AR  Nov. 8  – Black River Technical College’s new Vice President of Academic Affairs began on November 7.  Dr. Brad Baine was hired as BRTC’s fifth chief academic officer October 16 after a 6-week long search.

Dr. Baine comes to BRTC from Williams Baptist University in Walnut Ridge where he served as vice president of academic affairs and campus life.  Baine earned his bachelor’s degree in physical education from Williams Baptist University, master’s degree in physical education from Arkansas State University, and Ph.D. in kinesiology/pedagogy from the University of Arkansas.  Dr. Baine and his family reside in Paragould.

Former Interim Vice President for Academics Sissy Gray has returned to her previous position as Director of Assessment and Accountability.  She also will continue her role as Accreditation Liaison Officer (ALO) for the Higher Learning Commission (HLC).
