POCAHONTAS, AR June 2– On Tuesday, May 4th, Donna Statler, Dean for General Studies, and Shauna Throesch, Agriculture Instructor, served as judges for the public speaking category of the Greene County 4-H Competition.

The 4-H mission is to “provide opportunities for youth to acquire knowledge, develop life skills, form attitudes, and practice behavior that will enable them to become self-directing, productive, and contributing members of society.” Nine youth speakers were judged on their public speaking abilities, a skill important in the workplace.

Statler and Throesch were honored to serve as judges and want to congratulate the competitors on their achievement and wish them good luck at the district competition.
