Director of Nursing

Black River Technical College is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Director of Nursing. This is a full-time 12-month position. Responsibilities of the position include administration of the Practical Nursing and Registered Nursing programs which includes oversight of full-time and adjunct faculty.  Other responsibilities include the following: program assessment and leadership; maintaining records and completing reports required by the Arkansas State Board of Nursing, Higher Learning Commission, and BRTC; mentoring and evaluating faculty performance; student advisement, degree planning and financial aid guidance; delivering student recruitment presentations and departmental tours; committee participation; oversight of the clinical schedule, departmental budgets and inventory, and participation in the student selection process. The applicant may be required to travel to both BRTC instructional locations.

Qualifications:

Qualified applicants must possess a Master’s of Science in Nursing, a valid, unencumbered registered nursing license that is eligible to work in the state of Arkansas, and a minimum of three years’ experience in clinical nursing.  Preference will be given to applicants with experience in clinical and/or classroom instruction of nursing students and relevant administrative experience. Applicants should be willing to continue their education through professional development.

Salary will be based upon educational level and experience. BRTC offers competitive fringe benefits.
