Darenda Kersey Named Keynote Speaker of BRTC Commencement

Black River Technical College is excited to announce Director of Career, Technical, and Concurrent Education Darenda Kersey as the Fall 2022 commencement keynote speaker.

This is Kersey’s third year as the director of career, technical, and concurrent education, but she has been employed at BRTC for 11 years. She taught as a business instructor for eight years prior. She has been in education for 23 years. Kersey taught K-12 business technology at Riceland High School in Essex, Missouri, Pocahontas High School and Walnut Ridge Middle School prior to BRTC. Kersey earned a Master of Science in Business Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Education from Arkansas State University.

The Fall 2022 graduation ceremony will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 15 at the Randolph County Development Center on the Pocahontas campus. Graduation is open to the public and will be streamed live on BRTC’s Facebook page.
