The Electrical Apprenticeship is a 4-year program that combines related instruction and hands-on training with on-the-job learning (OJL) under the supervision of experienced and licensed workers. An apprentice must successfully complete a minimum of 576 hours of instruction and attain 8,000 hours of OJL before they are able to take the Journeyman Electrician Test.
