Cadets Honored at the BRTC Law Enforcement Training Academy Graduation Ceremony

LETA Graduates

POCAHONTAS, AR. Dec. 10—Several cadets were honored at BRTC’s Law Enforcement Training Academy (LETA) graduation ceremony held on Friday, November 13.

Gavin A. Krech of the Jonesboro Police Department and Timothy Keith Pledger of the Sherwood Police Department tied for the Top Overall Award, which is earned by having the highest overall average in the areas of academics, firearms, and physical fitness. Charles C. Broyles of Fulton County Sherriff’s Office earned second in this category, and Christopher Sutterfield-Qualls of the Cleburne County Sheriff’s office earned third.

The Top Academic awards went to Charles C. Broyles of the Fulton County Sherriff’s Office, 1st; Brock D. Jones of the Lawrence County Sherriff’s Office, 2nd; and U.S. veteran Cody G. Turner, 3rd.

Charles Broyles, Tommy H. Pledger of the Sherwood Police Department, and Tristan Dean of the Osceola Police Department received the Top Handgun Firearms awards.

Top Physical Training awards went to Robert J. Boyette of the Cross County Sheriff\’s Office, Cecil D. Langston, Jr., of the West Memphis Police Department, and Gavin A. Krech.

Top EVOC (Emergency Vehicle Operations Course) students were William H. Bowman of the Osceola Police Department, Jerrod D. Smith of the Independence County Sherriff’s Office, and Jordan D. Powell of the Sharp County Sherriff’s Office.
