BRTC’s Phi Theta Kappa Elects 2023-2024 Officers

Black River Technical College’s Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) chapter recently elected its 2023-2024 officers.

Business Administration major Stephanie Spencer of Paragould was elected President.

Animal Science major Elizabeth Spinks of Piggott and Industrial Maintenance Technology major Krystina Compton of Jonesboro were elected Co-Vice Presidents of Community Service.

Arts major Ashley Stover of Biggers and Psychology major Kaleigh Lester of Brookland were elected Co-Vice Presidents of College Project.

PTK was established in 1918. It recognizes college students’ academic achievements and provides opportunities for its members to grow as scholars and leaders. Membership requires at least 12 hours of coursework toward an associate or at least six hours of coursework toward a one-year certificate with a 3.5 GPA. Members have access to more than $90 million in scholarships, including $37 million in transfer scholarships from 750 four-year universities.
