POCAHONTAS, AR Nov. 16—To celebrate Halloween, BRTC Nursing and Respiratory Care Faculty set up a “Scary Sim Lab,” an interactive learning activity, for the Allied Health Students on the Pocahontas campus.

Allied Health students were asked to complete a series of skills tasks to “earn” the equipment necessary to resuscitate a SimMan (simulation mannequin). Faculty and staff members from across the college joined in the fun and participated in the activity as well.

Dr. Brad Baine, Vice President of Academics, stated, \”In typical BRTC fashion, the nursing and allied health faculty went above and beyond to meet the learning and training needs of their students. Their quality efforts provided a much-needed opportunity for faculty and staff to have a spooky and fun-filled experience. I am grateful for the leadership that instructors Bridgette Kasinger, Jessica Alphin, Jason Linam, and Matt Smith provided on this initiative. BRTC is very fortunate to have the outstanding services of all the nursing and allied health faculty, as the institution continues to look for ways to transform lives and serve the community.\”
