BRTC’s Fire Science Students Achieve 100% Pass Rate

POCAHONTAS, AR. Sept. 11. – BRTC’s Firefighter Essentials students recently completed the Emergency Medical Responder section of the program and took the Arkansas Fire Academy’s Emergency Medical Responder skills test. All students 6 enrolled in the course passed the skills exam. 

Completion of the EMR course is required to be eligible to take Firefighter I and II, the exams need to complete the Arkansas minimum standards for firefighters. 

Alan Haskins, Fire Science Instructor, stated, “I am proud of the students. They worked really hard on this section. They completed this portion of the course in two weeks, and all of them passed their skills test with 100% accuracy.”

For over 30 years, BRTC’s Fire Training Center has been a leader in fire science and service education. The Firefighter Essentials Program provides students with knowledge of modern municipal and rural fire protection, as well as the skills to apply that knowledge effectively.
