POCAHONTAS, AR Feb. 16– Patti Blaxton, Director of Corporate and Community Education, and Priscilla Stillwell, Executive Director of Paragould Operations, attended the Delta Workforce Peer Exchange in New Orleans on January 11, 2022.

The peer exchange was designed to provide grant recipients the opportunity to meet and learn more about the workforce development projects being implemented in their communities and throughout the Delta Region. Presenters discussed best practices and practical solutions to challenges. Attendees also heard about the successful workforce training programs being implemented through the Workforce Opportunity for Rural Communities (WORC) and the Delta Workforce Program (DWP) programs.

Stillwell states that she is thankful for the opportunity to attend the peer exchange because “The Delta Regional Authority is instrumental in supporting the educational needs of rural communities. We do our best to write grants through them to specifically help the unemployed and underemployed gain certifications that lead to a living wage.”
