BRTC’s Career and Technical Center Welcomes Guest Speakers

Graycen Bigger speaking at BRTC

POCAHONTAS, AR Oct. 1— Tonya Henderson of Southern Bank in Paragould and Graycen Bigger of Farmers & Merchants Bank in Pocahontas spoke to BRTC’s Career & Technical Students on Friday, September 3.

The two covered financial management topics relevant to college students such as credit scores/credit reports, the importance of saving money, and budgeting. Darenda Kersey, Director of Career, Technical, and Concurrent Education, states, “These speakers both shared some very valuable information with the CTC students. Many of the students had no idea how credit scores work and the importance of paying bills on time! They will all be out in the real world very soon and information like this will help them to be successful.”
