BRTC’s Cally Shore Speaks at Randolph County Chamber of Commerce Event

Cally Shore, BRTC Program Specialist for Corporate and Community Education

POCAHONTAS, AR April 15— On March 25, 2021, Cally Shore, Program Specialist for Corporate and Community Education at Black River Technical College, served as a “Home Grown Series” guest speaker, a Randolph County Chamber of Commerce event.

During her presentation entitled “Radiate Confidence & Positivity,” Shore spoke about what is means to be a leader and offered advice to young women who are striving to become leaders in their profession. She stressed that it is very important for leaders to continue their personal and professional growth by taking on new challenges and continuing their education.

Shore wrapped up her presentation by stating, “Don’t let anyone tell you that you can’t do something; you can do whatever you set your mind to. Don’t be afraid of a challenge! Finally, take care of yourself; it’s okay to just sit down and enjoy a cup of coffee, a book, a walk, a ride, a visit with a friend, or just rest. You cannot be a good wife, momma, sister, friend, or employee until you carve time out for you!”

According to the Chamber’s website, the \”Home Grown Series” was “designed to celebrate women born and raised in Randolph County.” The women presenters “shared their secrets of success, the struggles they face, and how they stay motivated and inspired in their careers.”
