BRTC Visits Greene County Tech Junior High

Black River Technical College (BRTC) made a visit to Greene County Tech Junior High on Thursday, September 25, to inform students about the college and all it has to offer.

Vice President of Academic Affairs Brad Baine, Career and Technical Center Director Beth Davis, and Dean of General Education Darenda Kersey talked to 120 students about the programs and courses that will be available to students once they reach high school. They also discussed the workforce needs in the state of Arkansas and regionally.

BRTC’s Career and Technical Center is a free program which enables high school juniors and seniors to get a head start on a career after high school. Students can graduate with their high school diploma as well as with a BRTC certificate at the same time, ready to go right into the workforce. The CTC program is funded by the Office of Skills Development.
