BRTC Staff Graduates from Leadership Paragould

Julie Edington, executive director of human resources, and Jason Linam, dean of nursing and allied health, graduated from Leadership Paragould as members of Class 27 on August 22. The program is hosted by Paragould Chamber of Commerce.

During the program, participants were given resources to help them expand their knowledge of leadership skills, and they were taught how to use those skills individually and/or in groups. Participants were also trained to be aware of what is going on in their communities so they can address the situation appropriately.

“I made many connections and friends throughout the past year in this program and also learned so much about the Paragould Community, leadership skills, and leadership concepts that I otherwise wouldn't have known,” Edington said. Linam shared the same sentiments and agreed that it was a great experience.

The Leadership Paragould program consists of 12 sessions or classes held over a 12-month period consisting of training in various concepts of leadership and is designed to introduce students to leadership styles and community involvement.
