Black River Technical College’s (BRTC) Respiratory Care students participated in a Senior Stroll on 8 Mile Creek Trail in Paragould.

The 2023 Senior Stroll is an event put together by Arkansas Methodist Medical Center (AMMC), and the Paragould Parks and Recreation Department.

Seniors from the area were invited to take a stroll, chat with friends, and explore local health and wellness businesses focused on senior care. Health checkpoints were placed throughout the trail to make sure the event was safe and enjoyable.

BRTC students took part by taking participants vital signs before, during, and after their walk and assisting them throughout their stroll.

“BRTC is proud to partner with AMMC and the City of Paragould for this inaugural event,” said BRTC Dean of Nursing and Allied Health Jason Linam.
