BRTC Representatives Attend Community Development Resource Summit

Four Black River Technical College (BRTC) representatives attended the Community Development Resource Summit hosted by the Arkansas Economic Development Commission. The meeting was held in Paragould at the Chamber of Commerce.

The BRTC representatives were Dr. Brad Baine, vice president of academic affairs, Darenda Kersey, director of career, technical, and concurrent education, Dr. Martin Eggensperger, BRTC president, and Priscilla Stillwell, director of workforce training. The summit allowed various businesses and people to gather and share their thoughts and best practices in promoting economic growth strategies for Northeast Arkansas.

BRTC representatives were able to share recent initiatives in an effort to accomplish the mission of the college. The summit also gave BRTC the opportunity to improve on the support of current partnerships and build new ones.

“BRTC is grateful for the local, state, and regional support it has received from agencies and industries in Arkansas and the surrounding states,” said Baine.
