BRTC Paragould Local Electrical Apprentice Recognition Ceremony

PARAGOULD, AR. Oct. 16. On September 24, 2020, Black River Technical College hosted the Paragould Local Electrical Apprentice Recognition Ceremony for those participants completing the 4-year program.  These participants completed the required 576 classroom instruction hours and the 8000 on-the-job training hours.

Participants recognized were Christopher Jones, Dillon Thompson, Zachary Trout, David Kirby, Teddy Hallmark, Derek Hall, Christopher Brown, Jason Lemmons, Jeff Meyer, and Keith Long.  These ten students received a certificate of completion from the U.S. Department of Labor Office of Apprenticeship.

Teddy Hallmark was recognized as the top student of the program, completing the apprenticeship with the highest grade-point average and the best attendance record.

After the ceremony, all in attendance, including the students, their instructors, sponsors, PLEA committee members, and family members, enjoyed food catered by Ironhorse Steakhouse.  Local businesses, including Lowe’s, PLEA, Barton’s, Orschelns Farm and Home, IAC Supply Solutions, and Paragould Electrical Supply, donated gifts to be awarded to these students in recognition of their accomplishment.
