BRTC Paragould Hosts Blood Drive

Katrina Bozarth donating blood

PARAGOULD, AR May 17— On May 4, 2021, BRTC Paragould hosted an American Red Cross blood drive. At the blood drive, 10 units were collected and there were 3 first-time donors and 30 potential lives saved. BRTC has hosted 2 blood drives this academic year, collecting 21 units total.

Katrina Bozarth, the BRTC employee who organizes the blood drives on the Paragould campus, reached a goal she had set for herself, donating three gallons of blood and becoming a silver-level donor. Bozarth states that BRTC is proud to be a part of the American Red Cross’s cause; she adds that donating “usually takes less than an hour and could save someone’s life.”

BRTC Paragould will host another blood drive during the Fall 2021 semester. For more information, contact Katrina Bozarth at (870) 239-0969 ext. 5200 or katrinaB@blackrivertech.edu.
