On January 12, Circuit Judge Phil Smith swore in 7 BRTC Law Enforcement Training Academy (LETA) faculty. State legislation requires all police officers to be sworn in by a judge, and while LETA staff have already adhered to this requirement, Thursday’s event was repeated as a symbolic ceremony.
