BRTC Hosts Black History Month Event Featuring Saxophonist & Vocalist Michael Eubanks

Black River Technical College (BRTC) recently hosted a Black History Month event featuring saxophonist and vocalist Michael Eubanks.

Eubanks opened with a walk down memory lane as he presented Arkansas musicians of the past. He talked about the kinds of music played by each musician and how their music correlates with jazz, rock and roll, and rhythm and blues.

He then tantalized attendees by playing more than an hour of jazz. He played covers of “Unchained Melody” and “Summer Breeze.” He also played original songs from his albums “Christmas at Michael’s” and “On a Day Like This.”

Eubanks is a Little Rock native and an Arts on Tour musician. For more information or to contact Eubanks, visit michaeleubanks2.bandzoogle.com.
