POCAHONTAS, AR Sept. 30— On Wednesday, September 15, Dr. Martin Eggensperger accepted a Governor’s Quality Award on behalf of Black River Technical College.

The Governor’s Quality Award Program recognizes high performing organizations who apply at one of four award levels. Award winners are recognized at an awards ceremony and receive a feedback report used to drive continuous improvement.

BRTC received the Challenge level award which is awarded to organizations expressing interest in adopting and applying quality principles as defined by the seven categories of the Baldrige Excellence Framework criteria.

President Eggensperger states, “BRTC has always been committed to quality. Going through the Governor’s Quality Awards process is a way to demonstrate this commitment while adding value through continuous improvement. Our expectations are even higher now, as is our ability to meet them. Each year, as BRTC strengthens its position, the community and state we serve benefits. We encourage any organization that is genuinely committed to excellence to consider participating in this process.”
