BRTC Foundation Board Member Appointed to Arkansas Higher Education Coordinating Board

Graycen Bigger, Black River Technical College Foundation Board Member

POCAHONTAS, AR May 7—Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson has appointed Graycen Bigger, Black River Technical College Foundation Board Member, to the Arkansas Higher Education Coordinating Board.

Bigger of Pocahontas was appointed to the Higher Education Coordinating Board in 2021 and is serving a term that will expire in 2025. Bigger is the Assistant Vice President of Community Development for Farmers and Merchants Bank as well as the Executive Director of the Northeast Arkansas Intermodal Authority, a regional economic development alliance based in Pocahontas. She holds a MA in Art Business from Sotheby’s Institute of Art in New York as well as bachelor degrees in the history of art and photojournalism from Arkansas State University. She is a White Riley Peterson Fellow and was named one of Astate’s Emerging Alumni in 2020. She enjoys attending alumni and sporting events.

The mission of the Arkansas Division of Higher Education is to advocate for higher education, to promote a coordinated system of higher education in the state, and to assist each of the publicly and locally supported institutions of higher education in the state in improving the delivery of higher education services to the citizens of Arkansas.
