BRTC Enters MOU with Five Rivers Shooting Complex

Black River Technical College (BRTC) has entered into a memorandum of understanding with Five Rivers Shooting Complex.

Five Rivers Shooting Complex, located at 155 landfill road, Pocahontas, allows the BRTC Trap and Skeet Club, and the BRTC gunsmithing program access to the shooting complex to use for training/practicing purposes.

“We are thrilled to work with the Five Rivers Shooting Complex in a partnership that reinforces our commitment to excellence in education, sportsmanship, and public safety,” said BRTC President Martin Eggensperger. “By combining the resources of our trap & skeet team, our unique gunsmithing program, and our top-tier Law Enforcement Training Academy, we will provide a remarkable opportunity for students to hone their skills, embrace their passion, and contribute to their education. Together, we will shape a future of firearm education based on knowledge, integrity, and responsibility.”

“BRTC is very excited to partner with the City of Pocahontas and the Five Rivers Shooting Sports Complex.  This partnership allows select BRTC students to utilize the complex as part of their educational program or as a member of the BRTC Trap/Skeet Club.  Having been involved in shooting sports nearly my entire life, I am confident in saying that the Five Rivers Shooting Sports Complex is truly top-notch.  BRTC, the Pocahontas Community, and the greater surrounding area are fortunate to have such a complex to safely demonstrate their love of shooting sports,” said Director of Student Development/Dean of Students Dane Dillion.

According to the Pocahontas Star Herald, the Five Rivers Shooting Sports Complex is a recreational shooting range that hosts organized shooting sports events, training opportunities, and target shooting activities associated with firearms and archery. The complex offers rifle, pistol, and archery ranges as well as trap and skeet fields. Annual memberships are available for the public as well as single use fees for daily access.
