Director of Nursing Tonya Hankins has retired from Black River Technical College after 17 years of service.

“Tonya is always calm in the storm,” a fellow coworker said. “She handles situations with grace, compassion, and integrity. Despite many program changes, illness, floods, and storms – she faces everyday head-on and always does what is best for the program and learners.”

Hankins was recognized at a retirement reception and at an end-of-the-year celebration for BRTC faculty and staff. She received a plaque and her choice of a bench or rocking chair to recognize her commitment to BRTC.
