BRTC Clothes Closet Helps Students with Interview Attire

Black River Technical College’s (BRTC) Clothing Closet, the BRTC Clothing Closet, is helping students get interview ready as part of the college’s effort to support BRTC students throughout the process of transitioning from student to employee.

BRTC Clothing Closet accepts donations of professional clothing, makeup, jewelry, and anything else that goes along with professional dress. Many BRTC students struggle to make ends meet while going through college, and many also have children, making it impossible for them to spend the extra money needed for professional attire. BRTC is excited to offer a clothing closet to eligible BRTC students with current BRTC ID who complete an application.

Donations can be dropped off at BRTC or monetary donations can be made online at   https://brtc.app.neoncrm.com/np/clients/brtc/donation.jsp. The Clothing Closet donations submitted through the BRTC Foundation are tax-deductible.

The Clothing Closet is always looking for volunteers, “any help is always appreciated,” said Clothing Closet Organizer Christina Derbes.
