BRTC Celebrates Pi Day

Math Instructor Daphne Perkins hands out water and pizza to students.

Black River Technical College’s (BRTC) math department celebrated Pi Day at both locations, Pocahontas and Paragould, on March 11 and 16.

The Pocahontas celebration was led by instructors Daphne Perkins and Jessica Stout, and the Paragould celebration was led by instructor Travis Harris. The faculty members passed out waters, individual pies, pizza, and Pi themed pencils to 186 students.

Attending students also filled out a survey for a chance to win a $25 Walmart gift card. The Pocahontas winner was Chloe Crosy, and the Paragould winner was Barkley Evans.
