BRTC BAT Program Participates in Arkansas Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over Campaign

On September 2, 2022, BAT Program Coordinator Ashley Boles and BAT Program Instructor Aaron Schenk participated in the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (Region 7), National Park Service, and Arkansas State Police Highway Safety Office Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over Impaired Driving Enforcement Media Campaign.  This event was a High Visibility Enforcement (HVE) media campaign to deter impaired drivers during the Labor Day weekend, September 2-5, 2022.

In attendance at the media event were administrators from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, Arkansas Highway Safety Office, National Park Service, Garland County Sheriff Office, Hot Springs Police Department, and Arkansas State Police.  Following the media event BAT Instructor Aaron Schenk used the BAT Mobile to assist National Park Rangers in conducting Breath Alcohol Content (BAC) testing and Drug Recognition Evaluations (DRE) over the Labor Day Holiday weekend.
