BRTC Awards the VALIC Community Spirit Scholarship

Kimberly Anderson of Oroville, California, has received the VALIC Community Spirit Scholarship, made possible by funding from VALIC.  Anderson earned her GED in 2004. She has two sons, Cody and Anthony.  She is seeking a degree in Practical Nursing.

The VALIC Community Spirit Scholarship is a 2019 Annual Novaria/BRTC Foundation Golf Tournament named scholarship.  The 2019 Annual Novaria/BRTC Foundation Golf Tournament named scholarships have been awarded to 17 students attending BRTC.  Each scholarship is sponsored by a $1,000 donor who is able to name the scholarship.  The Black River Technical College Foundation matches the $1000 donation allowing students to be awarded $1,000 per semester, fall and spring, provided the student maintains enrollment and meets GPA requirements.
